Anne Fausto-Sterling graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1965 and earned her Ph.D. in Developmental Genetics from Brown University in 1970. She became a research associate at Brown University in 1970 where she is now Professor of Medical Science. AFS has written about women and minorities, and gender and race, in science.
